KM Team held a discovery session with staff and board members to better grasp the current climate of the coalition.
Mapped engagement of current community and stakeholders to gage needed areas of growth. Created action plan for increasing engagement over the next year.
It was determined for continued growth and sustainability the coalition should become its own independent 501c3. A restructuring should begin including redefining staff roles and responsibilities not by funding, but by what is needed for the organization to grow and provide needed services.
The end result was a streamlined budget with maximum impact for the community and needed services as well as funders. Finally, additional funding opportunities were selected to continue diversifying funding with federal, state, foundation, and fee for service income.
“The entire process was seamless from start to finish. From working with Kristina and her team to provide information on the background of the coalition to meeting remotely and patching in the entire coalition as we met in Harrison, Arkansas, we could not have asked for a more prepared and professional firm to work with. The ease of access that she was able to offer through the use of technology was a tremendous asset to helping us receive valuable insight. The resources and experience that KM was able to provide are already helping us reach our goals in a way that we were unable to before. The insight that our coalition gained through this experience is sure to make a huge impact for Boone County in the future.”
